Eneco UK acquired the Burn of Whilk Wind Farm in March 2014. Construction of the wind farm has commenced and is estimated to be fully complete by summer 2015.

Eneco is committed to working with the local community to understand the current needs of those living in proximity to the wind farm. A community benefit fund of £5,000 per MW per year, to be paid throughout the lifetime of the project, has been pledged. Eneco will also take forward the commitment to helping preserve and promote the local interests along the nearby Yarrows Archaeological Trail.
