In 2008, Eneco opened an office in Warwick to grow a portfolio of renewable energy projects in the UK. To support this growing portfolio in Scotland, Eneco opened in 2013 an additional office in Dochfour, near Inverness.
From these, a dedicated UK team oversees five onshore wind farms and two solar farms including: Tullo and Twinshiels Wind Farms (combined generating capacity of 42MW) located in Aberdeenshire; Burn of Whilk Wind Farm (22.5MW) located west of Wick, Caithness; Moy Wind Farm (60MW) in The Highlands; Lochluichart Wind Farm (69MW) located in The Highlands; Sevor Farm Solar (10MW) located in Swindon; and, Oaklands Solar Farm (5MW) located in Dorset.
Eneco UK supplies high profile businesses including Mars, Heineken and Unilever. The 10MW Sevor Farm Solar project, based in Swindon, provides an innovative direct supply to Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (HUM). Eneco is supplying renewable power from our projects to our customers, such as from our Moy Wind Farm to Mars UK.
In May 2016, Eneco UK moved into the retail market with partners Co-operative Energy to launch a new domestic tariff known as Highlands & Mearns Wind. The company continues to work with partners to offer sustainable energy solutions for both consumers and businesses.
